So, in a nutshell:

1. Letter must be short and to the point. Don't spill the beans all at once. Wait for a reply to further state your case.

2. You must set a price - one that is not too high nor too low that would make your effort useless. It's all about profit.

3. Mention the registrar. And don't forget its address.

4. Make the recipient feel the urgency. - Make him realize that he is competing with lots of other parties to get this name. Mention the famous, "first-come, first-serve."

5. Provide your contact details. Include your physical address (home address) and your virtual address like your website, if you have one. If you have a company, mention it also for more credibility. Then indicate your telephone number so they will have the option to call you and talk further about your offer.

That's it. You can now start composing your mighty "End-User Letter" and scan Google for your prospects.

They say a domain's worth is what a buyer is willing to pay for it. So how you do you set your domain's price when listing it for sale at forums or auction sites? I bet some of you go directly to Estibot. Well, nothing wrong with that, I use Estibot, too. But as we all know, this distant relative of Wall-E's is far from being accurate.

So how do you get buyers to value your domains at a price you're willing to accept?

It's a question that does not lend itself to any appraisal service.

I've never understood the phrase, "jump into the bandwagon" more than when I acquired this domain. With millions of people traveling from destination A to destination B to Z each day across the universe, it is not a crazy idea to invest in "travel" domains. More so if you join forums like Namepros, DigitalPoint, or DNF, and frequently visit the "Most Wanted" section (no, we're not talking about criminals here).

It used to be that the term "geo" was only confined in the four walls of the Science Classroom and the pages of National Geographic. Now Google shares this million-dollar Greek word with avid practitioners of the domaining business I call domain hunters. What an evolution!

Going back to fromtravel.net, I consider it a rare find no matter if Goddady already owns the .com - blessed me!

No, I won't summon Estibot's assistance on this because sometimes it gets fickle-minded. It would have been excusable if it were a girl, or a gay - or a person, for that matter. Then I would have to strangle it, no questions asked. :p. . .

Others use Wordtracker or Overture. But I got one more reliable - Adwords Keyword Tool. It's like Oprah vs. the others (I love David Letterman, though, to the nth level). :D

Hard Habit To Break...

It's 2:00 in the afternoon, Eastern time (or fast forward, it's 2:00 a.m.), and here I am still glued to my computer. In my past life, during the pre-internet era, this was not viewed as a problem. Well I had more problems back then but in different "problematic" levels (you probably start pulling your hair by now trying to figure out the problem :p). . .

My eyes is falling apart, my head is going bonkers, my body is getting numb, but my mind is wandering still on this vast canvass of electrons as if waiting to struck gold in the middle of a desert.

It is a problem, though it's something I love doing. . . It's a habit. It's a hard habit to break (probably why I love this song from Chicago :p). . .
